Welcome to CM Adventures!

Hello and welcome to CM Adventures, vBeta!

I’m super delighted to finally release a first version of my Community Management website; don’t forget to bookmark it ❤️
Follow me on Twitter & LinkedIn, so you won’t miss the newest articles!

CM Adventures is my newest project, centered around Community Management, Social Media, Press & Influencers, Strategy Deconstructions, other Tips & Tricks I’ve gathered along the years, and also support to further improve Players and the best ways for them to interact with game companies.
With 10 years of experiences, I feel confident enough to write about these topics. I have always shared my knowledge with others, for free, and today’s no different.
I hope you will enjoy my content, feel free to drop a comment and hale me on socials!

The project is in a BETA phase at the moment. I’m looking to further stabilise & enhance the website.
Thanks to Nykrae & Stef for supporting me in the development of the website. I’m no coder, so it was quite a challenge to develop it myself ^-^

Project Development

As per tradition on my projects, I’ll start with an intro!
My name’s Lénaïc, or Lenny, or Nicou! Ok, that’s a first step.

▲ My passion for writing & communities started back ~17 years ago. I was swimming in the Barrens’ desert in World of Warcraft, near the Wailing Caverns. “This dungeon was difficult to find, I should write a guide about it”, thought 15 yo me. Back in time, I was roleplaying as a Tauren Druid Lore-teller, delivering news around the Crossroads and helping the new Horde players in the area. I also supported the development of a guild, and created fun events, activities, and stories for its members. This is it, my first steps in the Community Management path!

Ever since, I’ve always created & developed communities in order to rally people under one banner, providing them with guides, information, and a source of fun.

▲ After many years playing WoW with my guild, I bonded with Onidra, with whom we developed “Swtor-Guide” in ~2011.
Star Wars: The Old Republic was a new MMO, offering the opportunity for us to further our skills and propose the community with the best Guides & News for the French speaking community of the game.
Our project rapidly became a success, and we thought about developing new websites for other games such as “Gw2-Guide” in ~2012 for Guild Wars 2 which was also warmly welcomed by the players for its very detailed articles.

New sub-domains were pouring, and the road was now clear for us: We needed to unify the websites under one banner: Game-Guide.
The growing team created countless news, guides, and original content; While also joining many video games conferences or Press invitations to special events.

▲ In the meantime in 2014 , I had also been able to secure a Social job at ZeniMax Online, to work on their upcoming MMO: The Elder Scrolls Online!
Fun Fact: I could have missed the opportunity because HR called me very early in the morning, and I had a bad habit of going to bed at 5-6 am… I used to work on my projects until very late ^-^
We also had the opportunity to work a little on Wolfenstein and The Evil Within.

The company sadly closed its office in Galway Ireland in late 2015, and I then found a new job at Tableau Software to support their Community Team from 2016 to 2018.

▲ After ~5 years with the Game-Guide Staff, my time had come. It was an enriching experience for everyone!
I left to create my own project in French & English: Remlok Industries in ~2016; All about Elite: Dangerous.

Remlok Industries met a great success within the community and I created very regular content for the players until 2021.
I had joined all of the developers events, and was a content creator supported by the company.
This is also where we’ve been able to unlock a partnership with Twitch!

Remlok Industries still serves as a pillar for my current player base: The Remlok Community.

▲ In 2019, I joined Paradox Interactive to work on Crusader Kings and support the Community Team as a Freelancer.
Much like The Elder Scrolls Online, the job was to transition CK2CK3 with a pre-launch campaign, followed of course by launch and post-launch strategies.
As a fan of the Medieval Ages, this job was a wonderful experience!

I also had various opportunities in the meantime:

  • Editor for WoWisClassic, about World of Warcraft;
  • Communications & Marketing lessons to French students for the Next-U school;
  • Community Management Mentoring for various CMs;
  • Community Management for Tin Can, a Simulation-Strategy game in an escape pod;
  • Community Manager for Wolcen, an ARPG;

▲ And then today:
I’m super happy to announce that I have joined Larian Studios, to work on their game Baldur’s Gate 3, as a Senior Community Manager!

There are so many things I would like to do for the BG3 community, my first day can’t come soon enough: August the 2nd. See you there 🥳
